Adaptation
Liz Gudmundsson is a wedding florist by day and a crafter by night. Needing something creative to do in her spare time she started making jewelry from found objects which lead to making wedding hairpieces and then rosette hair clips. All of the accessories are made from various types of ribbon.

Ruth Allen
Ruth Allen wanted to go to school to study art (and french) but it didn't work out that way, so mostly it's just been alot of drawing big with crayons for about 25 years. Lately there's been alot of painting on handmade tiles, canvases and wood.

Bacon Handmade Neckwear
We make neckwear -- neckties, bowties, necklaces and bows -- for men, women, boys and girls. Always handmade, never compromising the uniqueness of each one. Versatility is our friend, and we create wearable art for those who like Everyday Dressing Up.

Her studio in Colbert, Georgia is filled with wine, beer and liquor bottles which become wearable and functional pieces of art. And for the home, there are platters, trays and bowls shaped from bottles. **NEW** for the Spring Market: Sandblasted "Athens" bottle platters! A wide variety of colors to choose from, they're awesome!

cap man
A local outsider artist known for his art car - a truck covered in bottlecaps. His art reflects his passion for recycling - everything is created on or from salvaged architectural pieces such as cabinet doors, scrap lumber, metal shingles, etc. His paintings are simple, colorful everyday images - flowers, chickens, cows, landscapes - with inspirational sayings. He also creates birdshacks, bottlecapped furniture, flags, jewelry, lamps, and stars.

Cathy Dailey
It is my love of animals and the joy they give me that drives me to create images of them. Over the past several years my animal images have evolved from serious, stylized watercolors to humorous images rendered in colored pencil and acrylic paint, often incorporating collage and recycled/found materials. I feel like animals are incredibly expressive and at times very funny, so if a client laughs at my work I feel I have accomplished something!

Down and Out Chic
Down and Out Chic is a vintage inspired costume jewelry and accessory shop. I combine new and vintage findings to create one of a kind pieces that are easy to wear and are designed to mix and match. Items include hairpins, brooches, earrings, and necklaces in a variety of bold colors and romantic designs. I especially enjoy bringing new life to vintage lockets, cameos, and charms.

Dreadful Pines Pottery
Handbuilt stoneware and slip cast porcelain, including functional ware as well as sculpture and tile.

Nikki, project manager guru by day and jewelry maker by night, combines the ideas of recyling old, broken pieces and contemporary eclectic design to create something new. Diana, sign maker extraordinaire by day and graphic designer by night, combines the love of graphics with any available material to put it on. ...edit your image, edit your comfort, edit your style, edit your attraction, edit your dialogue...

Fetching Collars
Fetching Collars is a fun way to 'dress up' your dog or cat for the holidays - and every day - while keeping their dignity intact! They make great gifts for animal lovers, too! Each collar is hand-made with comfortable cotton fabrics reinforced with webbing and extra stitching. Dog collars are available in sizes small, med, large, & x-tra large while cat collars have a breakaway buckle. Matching leashes as well as custom orders, including martingale collars, are available. Have an old collar with reusable hardware? I'll make it new again and provide a discount for you! And as always, a dollar from every collar sold will be donated to Athens Canine Rescue!

The Green Griffin
"We are a mom and daughter indie craft business. We sell our one-of-a-kind, happy wares through craft fairs, retail stores, etsy, and word of mouth. Our favorite materials include felted thrift store sweaters, altered matchboxes, and natural finds from the woods."

Harwood Homemade - Pottery by Anne M. Thompson
Looking for an artistic outlet, I discovered pottery in 2003. I fell in love with the process first, and then the results. There is peace in molding clay, and comfort in the taking mud from the earth and transforming it into something practical and more permanent. I especially enjoy making functional pieces that feel good to hold and work well with the busy-ness of life - serving drinks or a plate of cookies as well as hostess pieces for less common, celebratory gatherings.

Hillbilly Redux
I make paintings, pillows, and various embroidered items (e.g., pillowcases, neckties, headbands) all inspired by old-time country music, rockabilly, and folk art. I've been selling my work in and around Athens since 2002. I've participated in several art/craft shows in the past six years, including the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn and the East Atlanta Strut.

Metalworker Laurel Hill's jewelry is inspired by biology, geology, history, birth, death, decay, renewal, and a deep love of the South. Primarily working with sterling silver, she also incorporates copper, brass, gold, wood, bone, recycled leather, paint, and the occasional found object, resulting in a unique piece of jewelry that exhibits excellent craftsmanship and, most importantly, retains the mark of the human hand.

Kenneth Kase
My process in making each piece involves an element of discovery as I see how color and form work together. All of my jewelry is hand-formed and hand-finished. I'm currently working in hand-patinaed brass and Czech beads (Including 100-year-old uncirculated). All of my ear wires are sterling, patinaed to match.

CM and Grace Kelly Laster
CM and Grace Kelly Laster, and their 6 year old daughter Ruby Elvis Rose are a family of artists from Crofton Kentucky. They travel the country in their third artcar, the Inner Galactic Shack-a-llac, participating in parades, and showing and selling their art in museums and galleries. Maggie's work can be described as feminine with an edge. Her jewelry is meant to make a statement with her play of mediums, colors, and metals. Her travels abroad inspired her to integrate architecture, culture and nature into her designs. What sets Maggie's jewelry apart from others is her unique way of playing with one of kind vintage pieces to create something new. With her desire for variety, her line incorporates three collections: Fashion Statement, One of a Kind Vintage, and Bridal.

August Miller Designs
I design and build jewelry because I can't imagine doing anything else. Like most little girls, I was in love with all things sparkly and beautiful. As a teenager, I began making simple beaded necklaces for all of my friends. I'll never forget the feeling of pleasure in seeing my friends appreciate what I created for them. Today, it excites me to know I can translate my visions into reality, and that women feel beautiful wearing my Art.

Soup Studios
As a young child, Jamie Voivedich, the founder of Soup Studios, had a great affinity for soup, and preferred it for every meal. What started as a family joke turned into a life-long nickname. There is no doubt "Soup" is easier to spell than "Voivedich". In the fall of 2000, as Jamie was founding her pottery studio, it was obvious which name would stick, and Soup Studios was born. Though clay is her primary medium, architecture still informs the way she visualizes and builds her work. Her creative process involves a great amount of detail and precision, and is always concerned with structure, a sensibility developed by her study of architecture and interior design. Both pottery and architecture strive to be structurally sound, yet aesthetically pleasing in the way they shape space. You will find these shared principles in Jamie's approach to her work.
