This was a popular variety of oil lantern from the early 1900's; they were converted to electric lamps. It was purchased at the Lakewood Antique Market in early 1980's. It has two shades - the glass one seen here, and a hurricane shade. Each can be used independently or together. I'm sorry but that is really all I know about it.
