Olivia received her first liver transplant in Nashville in 2000. During the operation, Olivia developed a thrombosis (blockage of the main artery to the liver) and the liver went 8 hours without blood flow. This setback caused other complications over the years, and it has now reached a point where doctors believe she will need a second transplant very soon.
