 The 4rd Annual Athens Indie Craftstravaganzaa Spring Market was held May 2nd and 3rd in beautiful downtown Athens, GA. We had hundreds of guests join us to browse the more than 75 Craftstravaganzaa vendors. Our visitors found an emphasis on recycled materials, local and green production methods, and often an edge to the work that sets it apart from what might be found at the traditional county fair. For this years Spring Craftstravaganzaa we added a second day - two big days of fun, music and art. We repeated our popular Family Craft area this show, providing crafting supplies for the wee ones to make a Mothers Day Card. The kids just loved crafting, and we loved to see their laughing smiling faces! The parking lot was covered with glitter at the end of the day, but we think that is a good thing. The world definitely needs more sparkle. The brand new HighWire Lounge opened early especially for our event, serving up music and drinks and a nice place to relax. We had several bands perform on Saturday and DJ KurtWood provided the additional soundtrack for the day, spinning his renowned collection of 50s and 60s Soul, R&B and Garage 45s.
